Alas,and I am still out of a job! Checked with the Texas Workforce Center and met Geoffry Kettling who is throwing in all his weight in an effort to try and find me a job. Thanks, mate!
Bev and I drove up to Mansfield near Fort Worth where we met Ronnie Shea and her family. Her son David is presently very busy converting and copying my 20 hrs of video footage onto DVD's.
Ronnie will soon have a presentation DVD ready for us, subtitles included, so I can start the ball rolling and present it and speak at yacht clubs, deaf schools and burn units here in Texas. My aim is to be a motivational speaker. We will soon have the homecoming dinner at the marina at Palacios and I will also have the oppurtunity to give my first presentation there.
So far I have been attending to some cosmetic work and sealing some leaks at the headsail tracks and the chainplates on Island Time. She is on the market now.
The weather has been unkind the past few days and I have since put tending to Island Time, aside. We have had lots of rain and cold weather the past week.
Golly, I have been invited to be the guest of honor at the annual Palacios Chamber of Commerce meeting on the 17 of February!
